On 28 August 2014, the Roermond fire brigade was present at the test of the gas-based fire extinguishing system in Transcargo's new ADR building. The goal was to determine the building's fire safety.
The test, which was passed, was witnessed by the Municipality of Roermond, R2B Inspecties B.V., the construction coordinator, the architect, clients who will be using this facility, and Transcargo employees. The fire brigade took various measurements. These included extensive testing of the gas-based fire extinguishing system, to which 96 cylinders of C02 gas are connected.
ADR goods are regulated by the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR is short for Accord européen relatif au transport international de marchandises Dangereuses par Route, the French name for this treaty).
Our new facility meets all requirements pertaining to storage of environmentally harmful substances that are subject to the Netherlands' hazardous goods regulations, PGS-15. For example, with the exception of the fire extinguishing system itself, the building is equipped with doors that automatically close.
Transcargo sees storage of packaged hazardous substances as an excellent addition to its range of services. Starting now, you have the option to store your hazardous substances with us.
