One of the services offered by Transcargo BV is arranging transport to and from all European countries. In this newsletter we will discuss our transport activities to and from Spain. Despite the fact that Spain has suffered a great deal as a result of the economic recession, we have noticed an increase in transport to Spain. This can mainly be attributed to intermodal transport. Since the summer of 2009, we have been organising intermodal transport from the Benelux to Spain over railways and via Short Sea transport. In addition to the container transport we already organised via Short Sea transport, we now also organise transportation using trucks that travel by coastal ships from, for example, Zeebrugge to Spain. These mainly carry complete loads. This type of coastal transport takes two days. If a truck leaves on Monday, for example, it will be in Spain by Wednesday.
Groupage shipments are usually transported by road. We can deliver throughout the whole of Spain and also arrange return shipments from Spain to France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.
The goods transported from and to Spain are extremely varied. They include packaging materials as well as goods for the car, construction and horticultural industries.
